IBIS STREET LAMP
Quim Larrea & Katherine Bedwell
The streets abound with heterogeneous elements, all co-existing to create a rural fauna. When designing the Ibis street lamp, we realised we would be incorporating yet another animal in this environment. We always had its “natural” character at the forefront. Hence, the choice of materials needed to be coherent with this characteristic.
The wood chosen was pine, ecologically forested in Soria, Spain, and selected, sawn, and curved at the origin, and corten steel for the base, since it weathers well.
LED technology was used to give the entire piece the necessary durability and efficiency.
